Practice Makes Perfect

There is definitely not a shortage of adorable cake designs out there!  I have had numerous requests for mini cakes so I finally decided to try out some of the techniques I love this weekend. I made vanilla 6″ cakes and my frosting of choice was my Vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream. Practice makes perfect, right?

*I am still perfecting The Baker’s Jar mini cakes and will let you know when they are available to order. [I have high standards for the products I sell and want to make sure I have my mini cake offerings nailed down before I put them on the menu.] Stay Tuned.

  1. Andrew and I loved the flavor of the pink cake! The frosting was like whipped cream, not too sweet like most frostings I’ve had. And the cake was fluffy and light. Yummmm! Thanks Leslie!

    • I’m so glad you and Andrew liked it, Sarah! Swiss Meringue Buttercream is a nice, light alternative to the traditional American Buttercreams (though I make both). Definitely a fun frosting to decorate with!
